Welcome to Yellouts Ghana ("Yellouts", "we", "our", or "us"). This Copyright Policy explains the ownership of content on our platform at www.yellouts.com, the rights granted to users, how we handle copyright infringement claims, and what happens when content on our platform violates the intellectual property rights of others.
By using Yellouts, you agree to respect the intellectual property rights of Yellouts and of other users and businesses on the platform.
1. Ownership of Yellouts Content
All content created, designed, and published by Yellouts is our exclusive intellectual property. This includes but is not limited to:
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, display, or create derivative works from any Yellouts-owned content without our prior written permission. Unauthorised use of Yellouts intellectual property may result in legal action.
2. User-Generated Content
Yellouts allows users to submit content to the platform including business listings, reviews, ratings, photos, and comments ("User Content").
You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting content to Yellouts, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable licence to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and promote your content on the Yellouts platform and in our marketing materials, for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.
This licence continues even if you delete your account, for content that has already been shared publicly, such as reviews and ratings, to maintain the integrity of the platform.
By submitting User Content, you confirm that:
3. Business Listings and Content
Business owners who claim their listing on Yellouts are responsible for ensuring all content they upload — including logos, photos, descriptions, and contact details — does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
Yellouts is not liable for intellectual property infringement arising from content submitted by business owners or users. If you believe a business listing contains content that infringes your copyright, please follow the reporting process in Section 5.
4. Third-Party Content
Some content on Yellouts may be sourced from publicly available third-party sources, including Google Maps data used to populate business listings. We make reasonable efforts to ensure such use is lawful and appropriate. If you are a business owner and believe your information has been listed without authorisation, you have the right to claim, correct, or request removal of your listing by contacting us at legal@yellouts.com.
5. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content on Yellouts infringes your copyright, please submit a written infringement notice to legal@yellouts.com containing the following:

We will review all notices and respond within 14 business days. Valid complaints will result in the removal or disabling of the infringing content.
6. Counter-Notification
If your content has been removed from Yellouts following a copyright infringement notice and you believe the removal was made in error, you may submit a counter-notification to legal@yellouts.com containing:
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed content within 10 to 14 business days, unless the original complainant confirms they have initiated legal proceedings.
7. Repeat Infringers
Users or businesses who are found to have repeatedly submitted content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others will have their accounts suspended or permanently terminated at our discretion.
8. Trademarks
The Yellouts name, logo, and associated brand marks are trademarks of Yellouts Ghana. You may not use our trademarks in any way that implies endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship by Yellouts without our prior written consent.
9. Fair Use
Nothing in this Copyright Policy is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable fair use or fair dealing provisions of copyright law.
10. Changes to This Copyright Policy
We may update this Copyright Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Yellouts after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
