YELLOUTS GHANA Terms of Use

Welcome to Yellouts Ghana ("Yellouts", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website at www.yellouts.com, including all features, content, and services offered through the platform.

By accessing or using Yellouts, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please stop using the platform immediately.

1. About Yellouts

Yellouts is a business directory, review, and branding platform based in Ghana. Our platform allows users to discover, review, and interact with businesses across various industries, and allows business owners to list, manage, and promote their businesses to a wider audience.

2. Eligibility

To use Yellouts, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian
Be capable of entering into a legally binding agreement under Ghanaian law
Not be prohibited from using our services under any applicable law

By using Yellouts, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements listed above.

3. User Accounts

a) Registration To access certain features of Yellouts such as submitting reviews or claiming a business listing, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

Provide accurate, complete, and current information
Keep your login credentials confidential and secure
Notify us immediately at support@yellouts.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

b) Account Termination We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at our discretion if we determine that you have violated these Terms of Use, engaged in fraudulent activity, or used the platform in a manner that harms other users, businesses, or Yellouts.

4. Business Listings

a) User-Submitted Listings Business owners may create or claim a listing on Yellouts by registering a business account. By submitting a listing, you confirm that:

You are authorised to represent the business
All information provided is accurate and up to date
Your listing does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights

b) Listings from Public Sources Some business listings on Yellouts may have been created using publicly available information sourced from directories such as Google Maps. If your business has been listed without your direct submission, you have the right to claim your listing, request corrections to inaccurate information, or request removal of your listing entirely. To do so, contact us at hello@yellouts.com.

c) Accuracy of Listings Yellouts does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any business listing on the platform, whether submitted by a business owner or sourced from a third party. Users are encouraged to verify business information independently before making decisions.

d) Featured and Premium Listings Yellouts offers paid premium listing plans that provide additional visibility and features. All payments for premium listings are subject to our pricing terms communicated at the time of purchase. Refunds are not guaranteed and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

5. Reviews and Ratings

a) Submitting Reviews Yellouts allows registered users to submit reviews and ratings for businesses listed on the platform. By submitting a review, you agree that:

Your review is based on a genuine personal experience with the business
Your review is honest, accurate, and not misleading
You do not have a personal, financial, or competitive conflict of interest with the business being reviewed
Your review does not contain offensive, defamatory, hateful, or discriminatory language

b) Prohibited Review Activity The following review activities are strictly prohibited on Yellouts:

Submitting fake or fabricated reviews for any business
Paying for, incentivising, or soliciting positive reviews
Submitting negative reviews with the intent to harm a competitor
Creating multiple accounts to submit reviews for the same business
Submitting reviews on behalf of a business you own, manage, or are employed by

Yellouts reserves the right to remove any review that violates these terms and to suspend or terminate the account of any user found to be engaging in prohibited review activity.

c) Business Responses Business owners may respond to reviews submitted about their business. Responses must be professional, respectful, and must not contain personal attacks, threats, or misleading information.

6. Prohibited Conduct

When using Yellouts, you agree not to:

Post false, misleading, defamatory, or harmful content
Impersonate any person, business, or entity
Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure
Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from Yellouts without our prior written permission
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform
Post spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional content outside of designated areas
Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users or business owners
Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the normal operation of the platform
Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code

Violation of any of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension, permanent termination, and where appropriate, legal action.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on Yellouts that is created or owned by us — including our name, logo, website design, written content, and platform architecture — is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission.

You retain ownership of content you submit to Yellouts, including reviews and business descriptions. By submitting content, you grant Yellouts a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use that content on the platform. 8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Yellouts is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
The information on the platform is accurate, complete, or reliable
Any business listed on the platform will meet your expectations or requirements

Your use of Yellouts and reliance on any information found on the platform is entirely at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Ghanaian law, Yellouts and its founders, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

Your use of or inability to use the platform
Any decision made based on information found on the platform
Any transaction or interaction between you and a business listed on Yellouts
Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data

Yellouts is a discovery and review platform. We are not a party to any transaction between users and businesses and accept no responsibility for the quality, safety, or legality of any goods or services offered by businesses listed on our platform.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

Yellouts contains links to third-party websites, including the websites of businesses listed in our directory. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party websites. Visiting third-party links is at your own risk and we encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any external sites you visit.

11. Modifications to the Platform

Yellouts reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time without notice. We may also update features, pricing, or functionality at our discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the platform.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes in our platform, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make significant changes, we will:
